Creative Therapy Resource is dedicated to providing the highest quality Physical Therapy individualized to your specific problems. At Creative Therapy, you will not be seen by an inexperienced therapist, but by therapists advanced enough to be teaching other professionals. Our physical therapists are leaders in their field, in fact, all have taught continuing education courses for other physical therapists. With over 80 years of combined experience, our therapists have developed Standards of Care to insure we provide the highest quality of care.
Courses taught by our staff members to other therapists include: "Rehabilitation of the Shoulder", "Vestibular Rehabilitation", "Pilates for Rehab", "Systematic Evaluation and Treatment of the Rehab Patient" and "Exercise Protocols for the Debilitated Rehabilitation Patient". In addition to teaching, our therapists are dedicated to advancing their own knowledge and complete an average of 20% more than the required continuing education to maintain their license.
Although we treat the entire range of orthopedic problems requiring physical therapy, we specialize in the treatment of the spine, shoulder, neurological disorders, and vestibular disorders. We are a neuropathy treatment center and have a Fall Prevention Program that is recommended by the CDC. We have experience in these areas, received advanced training and enjoy even the toughest cases. Therapists who specialize in an area can provide better, more up to date care.
Unlike other facilities, we do not double-book our patients. All our patients receive one-on-one attention from a licensed physical therapy professional. Our patients work directly with the therapist for 30 to 60 minutes. The therapist does not leave them or expect them to do exercises on their own. We don't have patients come to therapy and do their home program. (you can do that at home!) Our mission is to empower our patients in the treatment process, so a home program is an important part of the treatment program, and is begun on the first treatment. The only time our patients do their home program in therapy is to demonstrate that they are doing it correctly and so the therapist can progress the exercises.
We also feel strongly about the importance of communicating with the referring physician. Our physical therapists will send your physician a summary of your problems and treatment plan after your first visit. The therapist will then send periodic progress reports, especially when you return to see your doctor. Once your care is complete, a discharge report will be sent. We have personally met with hundreds of area physicians and effective communication is an important area we discuss. We are also happy to send a report to any other doctor that you would like to be informed about your physical therapy.
We want every area of your care to be as stress-free as possible; including billing. As a courtesy, we will call your insurance company, verify your coverage, and find out whether physical therapy is a covered service. We will provide you with a written statement indicating what your insurance company told us would be covered and the estimate of your per-visit co-payment, if any. Additionally, we will submit your bill to your insurance company as long as you are receiving treatment.
If you are unsure whether we can help you, you can get a Free Screening to see if our treatment approach would help your condition. You do not need a prescription for a free screening and there is no cost to you. A free screening is a great way to meet our staff and discuss your condition. One of our therapists will perform a few simple tests and discuss your medical history. The therapist will then discuss their findings with you and make recommendations for treatment. If they feel that you would benefit from physical therapy, they will explain the therapy approach and the outcomes you can expect.
